Warranty

Every watch is covered for 24 months from delivery.

Every watch we sell carries a 24-month limited warranty from the day it is delivered. If the movement, case or dial fails through a manufacturing defect in that time, we repair it, replace it, or refund you — and we pay the postage both ways.

#What the warranty covers

The dividing line is manufacture versus use. A part that was made wrong or assembled wrong is ours to fix. A part that wore out, got knocked, or got wet beyond its rating is not.

Covered

  • Movement failure, or accuracy outside the maker’s stated tolerance
  • Crown, pusher or clasp mechanism failure
  • Moisture ingress within the stated water resistance, in normal use
  • Hands, indices or the date wheel coming loose
  • Plating that lifts or flakes rather than wearing gradually

Not covered

  • Scratches, scuffs, strap wear and gradual fading
  • Impact damage, crushing or a dropped watch
  • Water damage beyond the rated depth, or from using the crown wet
  • Quartz batteries after the first 12 months
  • Any watch opened or serviced by someone other than us or the maker
  • Loss, theft, or a watch bought anywhere other than goshopcara.com

If you are not sure which side your problem falls on, send us a short video of it. We would rather look than have you assume you are not covered.

#How to make a claim

From email to watch back on your wrist

  1. Step 1Day 0

    Email us

Send your order number and a description of the fault to support@goshopcara.com. A short video showing the problem is worth several paragraphs.

  2. Step 2Within 1 business day

    We reply

We confirm whether it is covered, give you a claim number, and send a prepaid insured shipping label and the correct address.

  3. Step 3When it suits you

    Send it in

Pack it in its original box if you still have it, write the claim number on the outside, and use the label we sent.

  4. Step 410–15 business days

    We repair or replace it

Typical turnaround from the day it reaches the service facility. Longer if a part has to come from the manufacturer, and we tell you if so.

  5. Step 5On completion

    It comes back to you

Repaired or replaced, shipped back free and insured. If we can do neither, you get a full refund of the purchase price.

You are told the outcome before any work starts. We never repair something and invoice you afterwards, and we never return a watch unrepaired without explaining why.

#Water resistance

Water ratings are tested when a watch is made, under laboratory conditions, on new gaskets. They are not a lifetime promise, and they are not depth ratings in the way most people read them.

What each rating actually allows

30 mSplashes and rain onlyCaught in a shower, washing up nearby. Not for swimming or a deliberate soaking.
50 mHand washing and brief immersionFine under a tap. Still not a swimming watch.
100 mSwimming and snorkellingSafe in a pool or the sea at the surface.
200 mDivingRated for scuba use, and for everything above it.

These are the manufacturer's intended uses, not our interpretation. A watch used inside these limits that still lets water in is a warranty fault and we will cover it.

Safe, within your rating

  • Wearing it in rain, or washing your hands (50 m and above)
  • Swimming in a pool or the sea (100 m and above)
  • Showering in cool water (100 m and above)

Voids water resistance

  • Operating the crown or pushers under water
  • A hot shower, sauna or hot tub at any rating
  • Diving on a 30 m or 50 m watch
  • Wearing it in water after an impact, before a pressure test

Gaskets are rubber and they age. We recommend a pressure test every 24 months if you swim with your watch, and after any impact.

#What happens if we cannot repair it

In order of what we try

  1. Step 1First

    We repair it

The great majority of covered faults are repairable, and this is what happens to them.

  2. Step 2If it cannot be repaired

    We replace it

With the same reference where we have one in stock.

  3. Step 3If that reference is gone

    We offer an alternative

A comparable watch of equal or greater value, for you to accept or decline. There is no pressure either way.

  4. Step 4If you would rather not

    We refund you in full

The purchase price, back to your original payment method. You are never left holding a watch that does not work.

#Who the warranty covers

The warranty belongs to the original purchase, and we verify it against the order rather than asking for a card or certificate. That means you do not need to keep anything — we have the record. It does not transfer to a second-hand buyer, and it does not apply to a watch bought from anyone other than goshopcara.com.

#Outside the warranty

If your watch falls outside the two years, or the fault turns out to be wear rather than manufacture, we will still tell you what is wrong and what it would cost to fix, at no charge for looking. You are free to take that quote elsewhere.

This warranty is offered in addition to your rights under US consumer law, not instead of them. Nothing here limits your statutory rights regarding goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

#Questions

Email support@goshopcara.com with your order number and what the watch is doing. A person replies within one business day, Monday to Friday. Within the first 30 days you may prefer a straight return instead — see the Refund & Returns Policy.
