Checkout takes PayPal and all four major card networks. Prices are in US dollars, the total you approve is the total you pay, and your card number never touches our servers.
#What we accept
Two ways to pay, both handled by PayPal’s payment platform. You do not need a PayPal account to use the card option.
Accepted at checkout
- PayPal balance, or a bank account linked to PayPal
- Visa credit and debit cards
- Mastercard credit and debit cards
- American Express
- Discover
Not accepted
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Cryptocurrency
- Cheques, money orders and bank transfers
- Cash on delivery
- Gift cards from other retailers
If your card is issued outside the United States it will usually still work, but your bank may apply its own foreign transaction fee. That fee is your bank's, not ours.
#What you actually pay
Three lines make up your total, and all three are visible before you confirm. Nothing is added afterwards.
How the total is built
- Step 1Line 1
The watch
The price shown on the product page. That is the price of the watch itself.
- Step 2Line 2
Shipping
$50, or free when your merchandise subtotal is $800 or more. One charge per order, however many watches are in it.
- Step 3Line 3
Sales tax
Calculated from your shipping address as US law requires. It varies by state and we do not set the rate.
- Step 4Total
What leaves your account
Shown in full on the confirmation step, before you approve anything.
No card surcharge, no handling fee, no currency conversion fee, and no customs bill later, we pay the import duties on US deliveries ourselves.
#When you are charged
Your payment method is charged once, at the moment you place the order, not when it ships. That is what reserves the specific watch against your name.
Common questions about the charge
Why was I charged before it shipped?
Because the payment is what takes the watch out of available stock. If we cannot fulfil the order we refund you in full the same day, without you having to ask.
I see two charges for one order
One of them is an authorisation hold, not a charge. Banks release holds on their own schedule, usually within three to five business days. If both are still there after a week, email us with your order number.
The charge has a different name on my statement
It appears as GOSHOPCARA. If you see something else for an order you placed with us, contact your bank, it is not ours.
Can I pay in instalments?
Not at present. PayPal may offer you its own instalment options at checkout; those are an arrangement between you and PayPal, and we are not part of them.
#Security
The parts of this that matter are simple: we never see your card number, and we could not retrieve it if we wanted to.
What we do
- Run the entire checkout over an encrypted HTTPS connection
- Pass card details directly to a PCI-DSS compliant processor
- Store only what an order needs, name, address, contact details
- Let you delete your account and its data on request
What we never do
- Store card numbers, expiry dates or security codes
- Show card details to our staff, including support
- Email or telephone you to ask for card details
- Sell or share your payment information
#Billing address
Enter the address your card issuer has on file. Your bank checks it against the payment and will often decline a mismatch, even by a flat number or a ZIP digit. Your delivery address can be completely different, enter that separately at checkout.
#If a payment is declined
A decline is a decision made by your bank, not by us, and we are not told the reason. No order is created and no money leaves your account.
Worth checking before you try again
An amount that appears to have left your account after a decline is an authorisation, not a payment. Banks release these without being asked, generally within three to five business days.
If two different cards are both declined, email support@goshopcara.com with your order attempt and we will look at it from our side.
#Refunds
Refunds always go back to the original payment method, we cannot send a refund to a different card, and we do not issue store credit unless you specifically ask for it.
#Questions
Email support@goshopcara.com with your order number. A person replies within one business day, Monday to Friday. Never include a card number in an email to us, we do not need it and cannot use it.
